History
Twenty Years & Still Going Strong
The Friends of Vision has been conducting a raffle since 1991 in concert with the Eyes on Design event. Throughout the years, the prizes have changed, but the focus has remained the same: to raise funds to support our programs for the visually impaired.
The initial raffle offering was a painting of a classic car. The next year provided an all expense paid trip to the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance. A great leap was made in 1993 when, for the first time, a car was offered, a brand new Buick LeSabre. For the next ten years, a car from one of the Big Three was raffled. Beginning in 2004, our raffle prize became $10,000 in cash.
This year we continue the tradition of offering the $10,000 cash prize, as well as the opportunity to attend the EyesOn Design automotive exhibition with the purchase of each $100 ticket. As always, every dollar raised from this event will go to aid the visually impaired.
